Our History
Better To Give was founded in 2016 by a dedicated group of mothers who were moved to action by the plight of the homeless community during a severe heatwave in Downtown San Diego. As they distributed water bottles, they recognized a broader need to provide essential goods to those in need. Inspired by this experience, they established Better To Give with the vision of not only offering practical support but also spreading positivity throughout the community.
Today, the organization continues to fulfill this mission by providing ongoing assistance to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. They offer a variety of services, including food distribution, clothing drives, and hygiene kits. In addition to providing essential goods, Better To Give also works to create a sense of community and belonging among those they serve.
